Dr. Rainer Seßner

I am pleased to officially represent the successful cooperation model of the four strong partner organizations as spokesman and to be able to actively shape the further development of the range of services for business and science with the partners. Our common goal is to competently support SMEs and research institutions in all aspects of their innovation projects. Together we strengthen the competitiveness of companies in and for Bavaria. As a passionate innovation and technology expert, it is important to me to think and act across industries and in a multidisciplinary manner in order to enable the best possible commercialization of excellent ideas and to find practical solutions.

It is also important to me that the players in the innovation landscape in Bavaria – from research to global companies – are well networked. I therefore also encourage intensive use of the networks and clusters in Freistaat as platforms for cooperation and exchange.

The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency, BayFIA, is the right contact point for companies and academies in Bavaria when it comes to knowledge and technology transfer. It provides orientation in view of the wide range of offers in the funding landscape and thus makes the entire system of technology transfer in the Free State more efficient. Small and medium-sized companies in particular can benefit from the acceleration of their innovation projects. BayFIA also supports the acquisition of subsidies from the Free State, the federal government and the EU.

I would like to thank the employees of the partner organization within BayFIA and the three other managing directors, Mr. Martin Reichel, Dr. Christian Haslbeck and Dr. Robert Phelps. Their commitment makes it possible for the cooperation to offer valuable added value, so that viable innovations can grow from initial ideas.
